The Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP) ISI Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Kertagama Jakarta Foundation recorded a MURI Record for the category of the Longest Karawitan Performance by organizing the "Longest Karawitan Art Performance" 24 Hours Non Stop at Pendapa Ki.
Panjang Mas ISI Yogyakarta on December 13, 2012 at 10:00 am until December 14, 2012 at 10:00 am. The event was opened directly by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Hermien Kusmayati, S.S.T., S.U. and was attended by approximately 15 participants, including from the Department of Karawitan ISI Yogyakarta, Department of Pedalangan ISI Yogyakarta, Department of Ethnomusicology ISI Yogyakarta, FIB UGM Yogyakarta, SMKN 1 Kasihan Bantul, and many more.
Objective:
- To eliminate the distance between musical practitioners
- To set a MURI record for the longest karawitan concert in the world (24 hours).
- As a proposal to UNESCO that the art of karawitan has gone global so that it can become the nation's cultural heritage
The musical concert was attended by
