Sewon, Yogyakarta - On Saturday, April 1, 2023, the ISI Yogyakarta Choir's Annual Recital for Newcomers took place. This concert was held at the Concert Hall ISI Yogyakarta. With the theme "Before 21", the friends of Vocalista Harmonic Choir wanted to invite the audience to go back in time. Yes, precisely the time before the 21st century.
In keeping with the theme, the Newcomers presenting songs hits Before the 21st century, these songs were presented in a variety of performance formats. Not only the songs and arrangements, costume The presenters further led the audience into the nuances of the past.
The concert started at 7:30 pm. It opened with a very neat accapella performance with the song Beyond The Sea arranged by Villazuella. This concert featured a variety of performances. From vocal and piano duet formats to mixed ensembles were presented.
"We deliberately pack the show this time according to the songs. So as not to be boring. That's why there are instruments such as trumpet, guitar, kajon and saxo." Said Gabriel, Chairman of the event committee.
Outside of the repertoire list, the audience was surprised with a medley of Tribute to Queen with the formation of full team. It was even more lively because the song was performed with lively choreography.. "It's lively and festive and intimate. That's what we want to show. The tight sense of family within the ISI Yogyakarta Choir." Theresia said with enthusiasm.
