The delegation of the Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP) ISI Yogyakarta performed a panji mask dance entitled \"Klana Sewandana Lena\" on July 25, 2024, at the Asok-Montri Music and Performing Arts Hall, Srinakarinwirot University, at 17.00 Thai time. The performance was witnessed by the academic community of Srinakharinwirot University, invited guests and staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the panji dance performance, the delegation was treated to a welcome dance performance performed and accompanied by karawitan from Srinakharinwirot University students. Subsequently, lecturers and students of FSP ISI Yogyakarta performed a fragment of a panji mask dance entitled \"Klana Sewandana Lena\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panji mask dance performance was part of the Workshop on Thai & Indonesian Dance and Music organized by the two universities. The academicians of the two universities shared knowledge and skills related to dance and traditional music owned by each country. ISI Yogyakarta lecturers taught how to play gamelan and taught Yogyakarta style dance to Srinakarinwirot University academicians. ISI Yogyakarta lecturers also gained new knowledge because they were given the opportunity to learn Thai traditional dance, Mae Bot Lek dance and learn to play traditional Thai musical instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to M. Heni Winahyuningsih, M.Hum. as the workshop teacher and Assistant Dean I, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta \"With the implementation of this collaboration we learned Thai traditional dance and music, and the most proud of the Thai traditional dance workshop teacher, Raden Oky Bima Reza Afrita, S.Sn., M.A. is an ISI Yogyakarta alumni who is currently a teaching staff at Srinakarinwirot University\". With the presence of alumni as teaching staff at Srinakarinwirot University, it is hoped that it will strengthen the cooperation that has been carried out by the two universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Srinakharinwirot University is one of ISI Yogyakarta's strategic partners. Both universities have a long history of collaboration so that they are able to organize various joint activities. Performances and workshops are held as a form of implementation of the MoU that has been signed by both university leaders. Through activities with international university partners, it is hoped that it will be able to increase the IKU 6 ISI Yogyakarta score and be able to improve the ranking of FSP ISI Yogyakarta in QS World by Subject Performing Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
