International Dance Conference and Festival (IDCF) 2025

The Dance Study Program FSP ISI Yogyakarta presents the fourth International Dance Conference and Festival (IDCF) in 2025. With the theme "Dancing Through the Digital Wilds: Reconstructing Ecological Sensibility", this festival is a space for ideological and practical encounters between the body, technology, and nature. The theme invites artists and audiences to revisit the relationship between humans and the environment through dance performances in the midst of fast-paced and complex digitalization disruption.

Six dance works by Lucky Wisnu (Indonesia), Collaboration of Central Kalimantan Dayak Customary Council & ISI Yogyakarta, Samuel (Malaysia), Navee Sasongkroh (Thailand), Yalan Lin (Taiwan), and Fairul Zahid (Singapore) will present performances that invite questions and reflections on both the influence of technology and human ecological sensitivity. Through the bodies of the dancers, each work presents a personal interpretation of life in the midst of the vortex of digital advancement and self-connection with nature. 

Through IDCF 2025, the Dance Study Program of ISI Yogyakarta seeks to increase public ecological awareness through performing arts. This festival is also a forum for creative environmental sustainability messages, encouraging the creation of works oriented towards ecological principles, and reviving local wisdom values that strengthen the relationship between humans and nature.

This activity was held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 19.00 WIB-complete. Located at the Art Laboratory of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta.
