Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta - The Music Department of the Faculty of Performing Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta once again held a Concert of Ensemble Study Learning Outcomes. This concert echoed in the Auditorium of the Department of Music FSP ISI Yogyakarta on Friday, November 17, 2023. Exactly at 19.00 WIB the concert began and ended around 21.30 WIB.
Derived from The Indigenous Tradition of Descant and Music, the theme of Nostradamus is embedded again in this concert. Nostradamus is an annual Learning Outcomes Concert organized as a report on the results of education in the Music Study Program FSP ISI Yogyakarta. This concert is the culmination of co-curricular learning practicum of ensemble study lectures.
"Hopefully, Nostradamus can provide experience for students to actualize musical skills in the social sphere of society. In addition, it can also be a motivation and broaden students' horizons in managing a music performance." Dr. Umilia Rokhani, S.S., M.A.'s speech delivered by Adityo Legowo S.Sn., M.Sn.
The presenters of the Nostradamus concert were all students enrolled in the Ensemble Studies course. The course is divided into Piano, Vocal, String, Guitar, Percussion, and Wind Ensembles. After Indonesia Raya reverberated, the performance of Piano Ensemble students opened the first session. There were 5 works presented by the students of Dra. Rianti Mardalena Pasaribu, M.A. They played the compositions Für Elise and Marcia alla Turca "Op.113" by Beethoven, Por Una Cabeza by Gardel, Can-Can by Offenbach and Piano Trio in G major K.564 mov 3 "Allegretto" by Mozart nicely.

Then followed by the performance of the Vocal Ensemble students. Linda Sitinjak, S.Sn., M.Sn. was able to present a sacred and beautiful choral treat. All were presented through the compositions If Music be The Food of Love by Purcell, Exultate Deo by Scarlatti, Locus Iste by Bruckner, and For The Beauty of The Earth by Rutter.

The performance of the string ensemble students closed Session I. Featuring the composition of their lecturers, Drs. Pipin Garibaldi. DM, M.Hum. The Grosso Concerto for String Orchestra was played in a standing position. The players managed to anesthetize the focus of the audience present.

Session II was opened by the performance of the Guitar Ensemble students. Students directed by Kustap, S.Sn., M.Sn. and Adityo Legowo, S.Sn., M.Sn. performed Indonesia Pusaka by Ismail Marzuki Arr. Kustap & Isydora, Hit This by Pieter Van der Staak Arr. Kustap, and Warde's Tanggo for Four. The ensemble was conducted by Putri Isydora Bunggaminanga, S.Sn.

There was also a performance by students of the Percussion Ensemble directed by Bakhrudin Latif, S.Sn., M.Sn. They played Billy Jean by Bansberg and Conversations by Ukena.

To conclude session II, two repertoire pieces from the wind ensemble brought the Nostradamus concert series to a close. La Storia by Jacob de Han and Invicta Overture for Band by Swearingen they played brilliantly. Wahyudi Pinto S.Sn., M.A. who is the lecturer also acted as the conductor was also present.

The cheers of the audience echoed until the end of the event.
"The concert was really good! Hopefully we can watch it again next year!" commented Ghifa after watching the entire Nostradamus concert. In the future, Nostradamus will be held once every semester.
