The development of the discipline of Ethnomusicology in the world forces the civitas of the Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta to follow these developments as a marker of part of the world discourse. To realize this, the exploration of knowledge for discourse development must always be rolled out both for oneself and the community with several activities including organizing ethnomusicology seminars every year with the title Ethnomusicology Series. #2With the theme "Ethnomusicology of the Future: New Trends in Indonesia" which will discuss current discourse related to the development of the discipline of Ethnomusicology which has jumped over the boundaries of the old narrative about music science. The activity is expected to open up insights into the diversity of thinking in music studies which will make Indonesian ethnomusicologists part of the hustle and bustle of world discourse.
