Collaboration and Performance of Dance Works at University Cultural Center NUS Singapore

The Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta collaborated with the National University of Singapore (NUS) through a collaboration and performance of dance works held on September 28 at the UCC NUS Singapore. The performance themed SAVE MY EARTH featured two dance works. The first work is a collaboration between ISI Yogyakarta students and NUS Singapore students who are members of NUS ILSA TARI, in this work ISI Yogyakarta sent 5 students from the dance department and 2 Ethnomusicology students. The seven students collaborated with NUS Singapore students in Singapore from September 21 to September 28. The second work is a work from ISI Yogyakarta with accompanist and dance director Drs. Gandung Djatmiko, M.Pd with the title Kidung Merti Bumi. The group from ISI Yogyakarta was 26 people involving students and lecturers from the Karawitan, Ethnomusicology, Pedalangan and Dance departments. In addition to performing, the group from ISI Yogyakarta also gave a dance workshop held on September 29, 2013. The workshop speakers were Dra. MG Sugiyarti, M.Hum and Dindin Heryadi, M.Sn.
