Art Appreciation, Creative Industry, and National Character Education Activities of Dance Art Study Program

In December 2012, the Dance Study Program of FSP ISI Yogyakarta held several activities, including:

1. ART APPRECIATION

Department of Dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta on Sunday December 16, 2012 at 10:00 am, filled the art appreciation event which is a program of Taman Budaya Yogyakarta. The art appreciation this time featured Gaplek (West Java), Bongkel (Banyumasan), Pakarena (Sulawesi), Golek Wiraga Rini (Yogyakarta) and Panyembrama (Bali).

2. CREATIVE INDUSTRY

The Department of Dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta on December 9, 2012 in collaboration with Kasongan Art Festival, held a creative industry performance. This activity aims to improve the quality of choreography learning based on the creative industry. This activity was not only attended by artists and communities around Kasongan but also attended by the Head of the Yogyakarta Tourism Office, Bantul Regent, and Assistant Rector I of ISI Yogyakarta. The dance works performed were: Bawung Dance, Tariu Galang, Dhingklik Sindhen, and Geliat.

3. WORKSHOP AND PERFORMANCE ON NATIONAL CHARACTER EDUCATION

The Department of Dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta on December 15, 2012 held a workshop and performance of National Character Education held at Mako Detachment A Pelopor Satbrimobda DIY Gondowulung Yogyakarta. This activity involved students of the Department of Dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta.

It is hoped that this activity can realize the mission of National Character Education which has content, to instill and strengthen:

1.  Nationalism values with four main pillars, Pancasila, 1945 Constitution, NKRI, and Unity in Diversity.
2.  The main values of National Education (Honest, Smart, Resilient, Caring).
3.  The main values of ISI Yogyakarta (Moral, Creative, Resilient, Superior, and Independent).

The workshop and performance of national character education activities are expected to grow students' breadth of insight, akadmis thinking horizons, creative power, innovation, deepening competence according to the character and culture of the Indonesian nation with a competitive power that has the spirit of Indonesian nationalism spirit that is Unity in Diversity.

This activity involved resource persons and instructors from Brimob Gondowulung Yogyakarta. The participants were given training in discipline, cooperation, cohesiveness, courage etc.

At the end of this activity, the works of students majoring in dance ISI FSP ISI Yogyakarta were performed, among others:

2. Kridaning Mu ou Xi by Apriyani
3. Binair by I Gede Radiana and Aprilia
4. Aprilia's fencing
